MEMPHIS, TN - At the 2016 Pi Kappa Alpha International Convention, Delta Chi was recognized as being in the top 10 percentile of high performing chapters across the United States and Canada. The chapter was recognized with the Robert Adger Smythe Award—the highest undergraduate honor.

The Smythe Award, named after Junior Founder Robert Adger Smythe, is given out once a year. Chapters who receive this honor have achieved academic excellence, contributed to their community through service and philanthropic events, distinguished themselves as leaders on campus, and lived by the values of the Fraternity.

This marks the fourth consecutive year that Delta Chi has earned the award. This year the chapter was recognized for the Most Improved Health & Safety Program, earning a 3.22 chapter GPA, 100 percent involvement in campus activities, 86 percent retention of new members, contributing over 6,980 hours and $64,285 to community service and their philanthropy, and ranking first in fraternity intramural athletics on campus. Additionally the Delta Chi sent the most men to PIKE University events for the year.

The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity is proud to honor Delta Chi with the 2016 Smythe Award.
